Carolyn Bassett
September 3, 1934 ? April 9, 2022
Federal Way, Washington - Carolyn Bassett passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington. She was born in New York City to John and Louise Raum. She grew up in New Jersey and North Carolina and graduated valedectorian from her high school. Later in life she earned a bachelors degree from Wake Forest University and taught both history and government for a number of years.
When not teaching, Carolyn was a homemaker spending time raising her beloved children, and supporting their many activities including years of service as a Girl Scout leader. She had a heart for all children in her life and "claimed" many of them as family! Carolyn and Ken spent their retirement years traveling the world and enjoying their large family and loving friends.
She is survived by her husband, Kendall Bassett, her eight children, 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her!
