MISHAWAKA - Bettie R. Harvey, 76, passed away in Elkhart Hospice on Tuesday, March 25th. Bettie was born on Aug. 27, 1937, in Bristol, VA, to Glen & Mae Leonard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Rusty, and a son, Daniel.
On October 14, 1959, in South Bend, she married Raymond M. Bass. He preceded her in death in September 1995. In 2005 in Hart, MI, she married Pete Harvey. He died in December 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny (Susan) Bass of Osceola and Ronnie (Kerrie) Bass of Decatur, MI; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one due in May.
Bettie enjoyed playing euchre, reading, playing BINGO, crocheting, working in her puzzle books and music. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in South Bend. Bettie was a wonderful person who always had a smile on her face.
Visitation will be Friday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services at 1 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Wendy Bruner officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne, South Bend, IN 46617.
