Irvington Ave., who died at 7:10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Mr. Bass retired from Mastic Corp. as a packer. He was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Bloomington, Ill., and lived here since 1943, On Oct. 14, 1990, in Roseland, he married Bettie R. Leonard. She survives with three sons, Johnny of South Bend, Ronnie L. of Osceola, and Raymond of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandchildren; his stepfather, Waldo Cummins of Goshen; and a stepsister, Judy Johnson of Newark, Ohio. He was a member of the church.
