Lula Mae Bass, at Oschner Foundation Hospital on Thursday, April 7, 1994 at 1:30 a.m. Age 64 years. Mother of J.W., Keith, Mary, Lula Bea, Odessa and the late Carla Bass. Daughter of the late Elzie and Alice Bass. Sister of Odessa Baker, Delores, Geraldine, Glorida, Mary, Elzie, Wallace, Gary, Roger and the late Shirley Bass. A dear and close friend of Mrs. Mary Flagg and Joyce Edwards. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a shot of other relatives and friends. A native of Newellton, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA for 50 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, officers and memgbers of Holy St. Matthew Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the wake and funeral services at Holy St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1300 Eagle St. on Friday, April 15, 1994 at 8 o’clock p.m. Dismissal on Saturday, April 16, 1994 at 10 o‘clock a.m. Rev Cannon Jones, Pastor, Rev. Alvin William officiating. Interment Providence Memorial Park. Arrangements by Dennis Mortuary, 899-8252.
