  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary, 26 Sep 1978 Dewey Bass Dewey Anderson Bass, 80, of Brush Creek Road, Fairview, died Monday in an Asheville hospital after a long illness. A native of Henderson County and a resident of Buncombe County for the past 75 years, he was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a son of the late John and Lou Reed Bass. Surviving are his wife, Sallie Kate McAbee Bass,; a son, J.B. Bass of Fairview; a daughter, Allene Garrison of Fairview; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Service. The Rev. Paul Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
