Sammy Joe Curd

Sammy ?Sam? J. Curd 68, of Paris passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Sam was born on October 20, 1953 in Elton, MO the son of Marion C. and Jewell M. Bass Curd. Sam joined the United States Army in August of 1970 and retired in September of 1991 where he was Sergeant first Class. He later moved to Paris and started working at the Monroe County Court House as the Monroe County 911 Coordinator for many years until his retirement.
Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He also enjoyed spending time with family and his special friend that they walked hand-n-hand with, Lenice Willingham Dunlap. He is survived by his son; Chris (Shalon) Curd, four grandchildren; Julia and C.J. Curd, Kate and Austin Conway, and a sister; Dixie Ehrenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents; Marion and Jewell Curd, one brother Clifford Gale Curd and a nephew; Scottie Ehrengerg.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Stoutsville Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Fleenor officiating. A Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the South Fork Cemetery with Elder Elaine Kuntz officiating.
