Death Victim
Illness Fatal To Milton Morris Bass; Funeral Service Today
Funeral services were held at 3 o?clock Tuesday afternoon for Milton Morros Bass, 21-year-old, Big Spring youth who succumbed at 3:40 p.m. Monday in a local hospital. Ill since the early part of October, Bass had been in the hospital since October 23.
Until his illness, he had worked at the Woolworth store here. Native of Coahoma, he was a graduate of Big Spring high school, and had attended Texas Technological college for one year.
Funeral rites were conducted at the Eberly chapel, with Rev. R. E. Day, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Roberta Gay was in charge of the song service. Pallbearers were Fred Haller, Mack Vickors, Justen Holmes, Lenton Hagler, A.L. Boyd and Paul McKenzie.
Survives include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Bass, 310 Lancaster street; a brother, Walter Prentis Bass, and a sister, Mrs. Lowell Baird, of Big Spring; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.H. O?Daniel of Coahoma and the paternal grandfather, W.C. Bass of Pittsburgh, Texas; and the following uncles and aunts: Oscar and Eugene O?Daniel of Coahoma; Mrs. Leroy Echols of Coahoma and Mrs. J.E. Brown of Big Spring; Mrs. George Harrison of Lafayette and Mrs. Ed Hull of Shreveport, La.; W.E. Bass of Lubbock, W.K. Bass of Pittsburgh and B.C. Bass of Chandler.
