Martin B. ?Marty? Bass
Bass, Martin B. "Marty" Marty brightened the lives of all who knew and loved him, generating a laughter and good feeling within us that we will remember forever. His soul moved onward to heaven on June 20, 2007, where he will surely spread equal joy. Marty lived with his wife, Lou Ann Stuckey-Bass in Menomonee Falls. They exemplified the term "soul mates" - their love and friendship was profound. Marty's mother, Marilyn (Keith) Huyser of Lansing, MI, his sister, Sherry (Scott Pohl) Bass-Pohl with nieces Morgan and Kyra of Dimondale, MI, and brother Brian (Kimberly) Bass with nephew Brenden of Reno, NV are heartbroken by his sudden death but know that his spirit will live with them forever. Marty's father, Robert, joined God in heaven in 1986. His extended family, Lou Ann's parents Gerald and Doris Stuckey of Janesville, WI, and Michelle (Scott) Johnston with nephews Nathan and Nicholas of Hampshire, IL, will deeply miss Marty and all the joy he brought to their lives. His many friends and colleagues will miss his advice, humor, compassion and love for humanity and life. Marty was born and raised in Lansing, MI, but spent over 35 years in the Milwaukee metropolitan area as a licensed funeral director. He was the owner and principal of Professional Mortuary Service, providing embalming and consulting to funeral service professionals throughout the country and was admired and respected by all. He took a leadership role in funeral director's associations on the national, state and local levels. An avid sports fan, Marty's Milwaukee Brewers baseball shirts shared drawers with those of the Detroit Tigers; his Wisconsin Badger caps rested on hooks alongside those of the Michigan State Spartans. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 23, from 11:00 AM, until time of service at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Thomas Griffey officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marty's name may be made to the Raw Hide Ranch or Kyle's Korner for Grieving Kids. "Thank you for the terrific memories, Marty. God bless you, Marty. We love you."
