Marlon D. Bass Skeen
Funeral services were held Saturday April 13, 2002 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Marlon Skeen, age 67, of Prentiss who died at Forrest General Hospital on April 11. Rev. Darren Wigington and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Interment followed in the Antioch Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: James William Smith, Jr., John Ryand Smith, Joseph Dewayne Smith, Jason Christopher Smith, John Mark Bass and David Carroll Wigington.
Mrs. Skeen was a native of Jefferson Davis County, the daughter of T. C. Bass and Lele Mae Dean Bass. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she played the piano. She was a graduate of Mississippi School for the Blind and operated a telephone prayer service from her home. She was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John Skeen of Prentiss one daughter, Elfride Smith of Prentiss one son, John Keith Skeen of Prentiss four grandchildren, one great grandchild two brothers, Billy Gene Bass and Jimmy Bass both of Prentiss and one sister, Martha Wigington of Prentiss.
