Jewel Denise Cannady Bass, 67, of 674 High House Road, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her home.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 8th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM ? 11AM just before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Owen Grove PFWB Church Cemetery.
Jewel, born October 23, 1954 in Durham, NC, was the daughter of the late James Elder Cannady and Kathleen Parsons Cannady. She worked in the insurance industry and was a member of Owen Grove PFWB Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Harold Cannady.
Survivors include: husband, Thomas Michael Bass; son, James Robert Shatterly and wife Tamara Blanton Shatterly; grandchildren, Mary Logan Shatterly and Anderson Claire Shatterly; step-son, Christopher M. Bass and wife Nicole and their son, Dillion Bass, and step-son, Benjamin K. Bass and his children, Sterling and Mallory Bass; sister, Mavis Cannady Hobbs; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565 in memory of Jewel Bass.
