Ronald Franklin Bass
Ronald Franklin Bass, 67, of Newnan, GA, previously of Americus, GA, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born in Greenville, AL to the late Aron Franklin Bass & Mary Frances Lee Bass. He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University & Georgia State University. He was an Officer in the United States Navy where he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal.
The graveside funeral service is Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Union Cemetery in Georgiana, AL. The family will receive visitors at Johnson Funeral Home, 218 Highway 106 West, Georgiana, AL, 36033 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one?s choice.
He is survived by wife, Jennie Bass of Newnan, GA; daughters, Nancy Bass of Atlanta, GA., Cathy Dozier & her husband Steve of Columbus, GA; brothers, Larry Bass & his wife Bobbie of Chapman, IL, Mike Bass * his wife Sharon of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Virginia Dozier, Aaron Dozier, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
