Born at Longstreet, La., a daughter of Mrs. Maiden Word Wells of Longstreet and the late Robert Homer Wells, she was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Leawood Heights Garden Club. Other survivors are four sons, Roy D. Bass Jr. of Hope, John Robert Bass of Memphis, and David W. Bass and W. Donald Bass of Little Rock; two brothers, William T. Wells of Houston, Texas., and W.H Wells of Baytown, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Doris McMillian of Shreveport, and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church by Rev. Richard B. Hardie. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Longstreet (La.) Cemetery by Rev. Robert Ed Taylor. Local arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to Westover Hills Presbyterian Church or to the Arthritis Foundation.
