Malcolmn Eugene Bass
ANNISTON ? Funeral service for Malcolmn Eugene Bass, 46, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Gray Brown Service Chapel with the Rev. Charles Paris officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Shelby County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Gray Brown- Service. Mr. Bass died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at his residence. Survivors include his mother, Betty J. Bass, of Anniston; two brothers, Jeffrey Bass and his wife, Tawana, of Anniston and Kerry L. Bass, of San Diego, California; three sisters-in-law, Debra Manning, of Saks, Denise Briggs, of Alexandria and Tonya Bass, of Maryville, Tenn.; seven nieces, Rebecca Catlett, of Anniston, Kayla Kidd, of Maryville, Tenn., Sara Kidd, of Maryville, Tenn., Delana Craighead, of Alexandria, April Briggs, of Alexandria and Amber Manning, of Saks, Michael Bass, of Anniston and former wife, Donna Smith, of Anniston. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy R. Bass; brother, Gary Wayne Bass; grandparents, Wilber Alexander and Nina Pearl Alexander, Zabe Bass and Flora Bass, all of Montevallo, Alabama. Mr. Bass was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was formerly employed with B&B Produce and Wal-Mart Auto Center. Mr. Bass graduated from Ayers State Technical College. Flowers will be accepted or donations to the American Cancer Society. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge of arrangements. (256)236-3441.
