Valerie Joyce McClellan.
Independence - Valerie passed away on February 25th, after having lived a full life of 83 years.
Valerie married Paul T. McClellan in 1951, and they gave birth to Paul, Patricia, Robert, and Suzanne. He preceded her in death in Vietnam in 1965. In 1979, she married Edward L. Keys, who preceded her in death in 1985. In 1999, she married Wayne A. Bass, who preceded her in death in 2012.
Survivors include: Paul McClellan and wife Linda Topping of Bend, OR; Patricia McClellan of Independence, OR; Robert McClellan and wife Susanne McClellan of Keizer, OR; Suzanne McClellan of West Salem, OR. Her grandchildren are: Ian McClellan of Boise, ID; Thomas McClellan of Phoenix, AZ; Ashleigh and her husband Travis Walters of Aloha, OR; Rebecca and her husband Galvin Weaver and their son Hunter of Roseburg, OR. She also has three stepsons from her marriage to Wayne Bass: Craig Bass, Robert Bass, and Rodney Bass and their respective spouses and families.
She was a follower of Jesus in the Assemblies of God church since her salvation at age 12.

Celebration of life 11:00 am, April 30 at Independence Assembly of God, 210 South 5th St., Independence, OR 97351. A potluck will follow.
