Thelma Bass
ROCK ISLAND - Funeral services celebrating the life of Thelma E. "Gram" Bass, 93, of Rock Island, formerly of Davenport will be Noon Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, at the All Faith Chapel of Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport.
Mrs. Bass died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at her residence in Rock Island.
Thelma Elizabeth Jackson was born March 19, 1911, the daughter of Otis and Bernice (Wedekend) Jackson in Guthrie, Okla. She was united in marriage to Bueford C. Bass Jan. 25, 1951. He preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1980.
Thelma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport for many years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Duane and Carlene Dilley, Rock Island; and a special great-granddaughter Kara Wells, also of Rock Island; as well as numerous other grand children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
Her parents, husband and two sons, Dennis and Dean preceded her in death.
