Claude H. ?Tug? Bass, 72, Nashua Army veteran; worked for Thermo Electron
Claude H. "Tug" Bass, 72, of Nashua, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
Mr. Bass was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Fairmont, N.C., son of the late James G. and Rena (Ivey) Bass.
He was the husband of Jacqueline (Veillette) Bass, of Nashua, with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.
Mr. Bass was employed as an account executive from 1976 to 1992 for Thermo Electron in Waltham, Mass.
He was an avid golfer, and played throughout the United States. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, making latch hook rugs and gardening.
Mr. Bass was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
He was a member of Nashua Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and David Kobisky, and Jeanine M. and Scott Allan, all of Nashua, and Lisa and George Guarascio of Seaford, N.Y.; four grandchildren, David Jr., Erik, Haylee and Jade; five stepchildren, Brian Veillette, and his wife, Tracy, of Brookline, Mass., Debra Attias and her husband, Moche, of Holliston, Mass., Donna Silva, of Mendon, Mass., Aimee Johnson of Brockton, Mass., and Eric Veillette and his wife Pamala of Nashua; a sister, Bobbie Schebbeck of Concord, Calif.; 14 step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
