He was born on September 25, 1951 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Arthur and Helen (Ramsey) Bassett. In 1969, he joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1970 until 1971. In 1973 he married Ann (Douglas) Bassett who survives. Bob enjoyed being with his family and he especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Sidney. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann; daughter, Roberta (Shaun) Moore of Plainfield, Ohio; grandson, Cody Moore; granddaughter, Sidney Moore of Plainfield; four brothers, Richard (Cindy) Bassett of West Lafayette, Ohio, George (Brenda) Bassett of West Lafayette, Russell (Mary) Bassett of Conesville, Ohio and Dale (Linda) Bassett of Coshocton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Bassett. Per Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral services and a cremation will take place at a later date.
