Leigh Ann Bass, 68, Kokomo passed away Thursday March 10 in Community Howard Regional Hospital, Kokomo. She was born January 26, 1954, to George and Beatrice (Shadbolt) Stites in Hudson, Michigan. On June 2, 1995, she married Randolph Bass who survives.
She graduated from Eastern High School in 1974. Leigh had worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph hospital for 14 years and then worked as a Certified CNA for Comfort Keepers and Advantage Home Healthcare.
She enjoyed spending weekends playing cards with her granddaughter and always teased her saying she cheated. Her grandson misses all the ?I Love You, Logie? and where's Nanny's hugs. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She was a member of the Eagles in Kokomo and Senior center in Kokomo. Leigh had also raised Bassett hounds.
She is survived by her husband, Randolph, daughter, Stacy (Cletus) Lawson. Grandchildren, Logan Lawson, and Rachael Lawson. Sister, Vicki Stites along with several nieces and nephews. And her dogs, Buddy, and Cocoa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sammie Armstrong, niece, Jenny Guge and best friend, Rebecca Hahn.
Following Leigh?s wishes there will not be a public visitation or funeral.
