The funeral and burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church near Edison. Mr. Bass was born in Calhoun Oct. 19, 1884, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Joel Bass. He was a merchant and a member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church and served as clerk and deacon for the church for more than 50 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Lucretia Bell Bass; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Ward and Mrs. Perry Plexico, both of Edison, Mrs. Iris Greene, Bluffton, Mrs. Mary Will Anderson, Social Circle, Ga.; two brothers, Roy Bass, Hendersonville, N.C., Fred Bass, Seminole, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Ida B. Jones, Arlington, Ga.; severn grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
