Helen Elene Bass
MILTON, Fla. -- Helen Elena Bass, 76, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her daughter's home in Milton, FL, with her children by her side. Helen was born January 10, 1947, in Sumter, SC, to Harold R. and Alvilder E. Robinson.
Helen graduated from Summerton High School, Summerton, SC, and received a degree from the Sumter College of Cosmetology. She was a caregiver for her parents, husband, brother and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gary R. Bass Sr.; her parents, Harold R. and Alvilder (Biddie) Robinson; and her brothers, Richard Wayne Robinson of Columbia, SC, and Harold Michael Robinson of Santee, SC.
She is survived by her children: her son, Gary R. Bass Jr. (Diana) of Gastonia, NC, and her daughters, Sherry B. Rawleigh and Rhonda L. Mitchum, both of Milton, FL. She is survived by three grandsons, Joshua S. Cannon (Chelsea) and Jonathan D. Mitchum of Milton, FL , Benjamin P. Mitchum (Summer) of Manning, SC; and two granddaughters, Teagan E. Bass and Mackenzie E. Bass of Gastonia, NC. She also leaves behind three great-grandsons of Milton, FL.
Trahan Family Funeral Home, Milton, FL is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial services will be held at the United Methodist Church, 2 Briggs Street, Summerton, SC, at 11 a.m. January 6, 2024.
