  Notes	The Oregonian, Portland, Monday, May 3, 2004 Coy Chester Bass Coy Chester Bass died April 25, 2004, at age 78. Mr. Bass was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Piave, Miss. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific. Hemoved to Vernonia after the war and to Gresham in 1950. He was a custodian for Franz Bakery and the Centennial School District. In 1951, he married June Lambert; she died in 2000. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Wilson; sons, Tim and Dewayne; brother, Calvin; sisters, Barbara Rainey and Patti Dripps; and two grandchildren. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
