March 5, 2011 Funeral services were held Monday, March 7, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Louise Bass, age 90, of Magee, MS who passed away March 5, 2011 at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Rev. Charles Burnham and Mitchell Roberts officiated. Saulters Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Pall bearers were Billy Langley, Ernest Langley, Johnny Luttrell, Phillip Herrin, Jute Polk and Robert Luttrell. Amanda Louise Bass was born July 6, 1920 in Lawrence County, MS. She was the daughter of John Henry Deavers and Dola Cox Deavers. She was the owner of the Triangle Café in Prentiss for thirty two years. She was also a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Bass is survived by her daughter, Linda Langston (Sonny) of Prentiss, MS; one son, Jackie Bass (Deanna) of Prentiss, MS; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Bass and her brothers and sisters.
