Final Rites Held For Joe B. Bass
Marietta, March 16.- Funeral services for Joe B. Bass, 67, were conducted Sunday at 4 o?clock at Bethesda Methodist church by the pastor Rev. Mr. Boone. Mr. Bass died Saturday afternoon at Baker sanatorium.
The church choir sand two songs favorites of the deceased. ?Face to Face? and ?The Land Where We Never Grow Old?.
Pallbearers were Paul Carter, R.F. Brigman, L.J. Player, T.B. Grimes, E.D. Graham, Luther Lewis.
Mrs. R.F. Brigman was in charge of the flowers assisted by Mmes. H.P. Brigman, L.J. Player, B.H Small, C.W. Palyer and Miss Juanita Pate.
A large crowd attended the services at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bass was born at Barnesville bot for the past several years had lived in Lumberton, where he had made a host of friends.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lizzie Jenkins, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. J.E. Ivey; one granddaughter, Janice Faye, and the following brothers and sisters; Von Bass of Proctorville, Lon Bass of Barnesville, Mrs. Harvey Andrews of Lumberton and Mrs. James Andrews of Fairmont.
