Bass-Pierce
The marriage of Miss Shirley Ann Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Arthur Pierce of Richmond, to Kenneth Carrington Bass III, son of Dr. and Mrs. Bass Jr. of Wilmington, Del. took place yesterday in First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Dr. Theodore Floyd Adams, pastor, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Miss Trina Richner of New York was maid of honor. Other attendants were Miss Jeannette Ellis of Charleston, S.C., Miss Lynn Caligan of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Thomas S. Curtin Jr. of Bristol, Tenn. Miss Peggy Lambert of Triangle, Miss Catherine Quirk, Miss Cheryl Pierce and Miss Mary Ball Shafte of Richmond, Miss Mary Katherine Bass of Wilmington and Miss Laura Trice of Staunton.
Dr. Bass was his sons? best man. Ushers were Stephen T. Porter of Louisville, Robert J. Sheheen of Camden, S.C., Craig W. Worthington of Ayden, N.C., John C. McClain of Chapel Hill, N.C., Gerald L. Wilson and Peter Vinetn Johansen of Durham, N.C., Herbert D. Steel of McKeesport, Pa., Michael I. Peterson of Ft. Belvoir and Morton T. Lambert of Triangle.
The couple will live in New Haven, Conn.
