Mrs. Coy Haywood
FAIRMONT ? Mrs. Coy Haywood, 44, died Saturday morning in Robeson County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Haywood, the former Willie Bass, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Bass of South Robeson where she spent her entire life. Besides her husband, Coy Haywood, she is survived by two sons, Raymond Haywood, Hampton, Va., and Floyd of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Clayton Townsend, Hampton, Va., and Mrs. Horace Prevatte of South Norfolk, Va.; three brothers, Mack Bass of South Robeson, Isaac Bass, Fairmont and Maston Bass of South Robeson; four sistgers, Miss Helen Bass, Fairmont, Mrs. Walt Mercer, Dillon, S.C., Mrs. Sam Britt and Mrs. Nevelle Simmons, both of Fairmont, Route 1. At 1:30 p.m. Sunday funeral services will be held at the Oakdale Baptist Church where the deceased held her membership. The body will be carried to the church an hour prior to the service. Her pastor, the Rev. A.P. Stephnes of Lumberton, will be the officiating minister. Burial will follow in the Big Branch Cemetery.
