Bass Robert Frederick Bass, an employee of the Southern Railway System for 35 years until his retirement in 1938, died Saturday at his home 5914 Rois Rd., Chamberlayne Heights. He was a member of Cowardin Avenue Christian Church, the Brotherhood ofocomotive Engineers and the Richmond Nest of Owls. Surviving are one son, E. Carrington Bass, one daughter, Miss Erlene A. Bass, and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Jones and Mrs. W.W. Houchens, all of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday at Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, with burial in Maury Cemetery.
