Lester W. Bass Jr.
Lester W. Bass, Jr., 74, of Palmerton, died Wednesday, February 16 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17th Street campus. He was the husband of Margarita M. (Suarez) Bass. They were married 45 years last month.
He worked as a truck driver for 31 years, driving for RPS, FedEx, Lucent Technologies and ETI until retiring in 2012.
Lester was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Washington Twp.
He dearly loved his family, as well as fishing and hunting, and the Eagles and Phillies.
Born in Pottsville, Lester was a son of the late Lester Sr. and Evelyn (Keich) Bass.
Survivors: Wife; son Russel and wife Cynthia; grandchildren Justin and Elizabeth Bass, Amber and Colin Weaver; brothers Gary, David and wife Vicki. He was predeceased by a sister Diane Ontiveros.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 22 in Good Shepherd UCC, 3940 Mountain Rd, Slatington. Call 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 21 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave, Palmerton.
