Faye Bernice Bass
Faye Bernice Bass, 84, of Homosassa, Florida passed away peacefully at Crystal River Health and Rehab Center March 31, 2018. She was born March 26, 1934 in New Hartford, Iowa to the late Fred and Alice Hugh. She had moved here in 1970 from Cedar Falls, Iowa. Mrs. Bass was a Housewife and mother, and she loved putting together Jigsaw Puzzles, Cooking, Gardening, and embroidered quilts for all of her grandchildren. She loved God and reading the bible. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Duncan Edward Bass, her second husband, Willie B. Bass, daughter, Linda Pearl Bass, sons, Jerry Edward Bass, and Ronnie Bass, sisters, Julia Wears, Betty Richter, Lois Burtram, and Frances Haan, brother, Donald Hugh, and grandson Billy Bass. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Bass Acosta, four sons, Larry Bass, Bill Bass, Willie Bass, Jr., and Henry Bass, brother, Louie Hugh, sisters, Ida Folken and JoAnn Mayfield, step children of her first husband, Duncan Edward Bass, four daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday April 6th 2018 11:00am at Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River. The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service (10:00am-11:00am). Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness, Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River, Florida.
