  Notes	The Times-Mail, Bedford, Indiana, Thursday, February 17, 2022 Mary V. (Bass) Osborne Mary V. (Bass) Osborne, 101, of Bedford, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Reed Bass and Christine (Morarity) Bass. She married Eugene Osborne on July 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1988. Mary was formerly the owner and operator of Bass Liquors in Mitchell. Bass Liquors was founded by her father in 1936 and is still owned and operated by her son, Tim. Mary enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bedford. She was a graduate of Mitchell High School with the class of 1939. Surviving to cherish the memory of Mary are, her five children: Tim Osborne of Mitchell, Christina Martin of Louisville, KY, Teresa Walls of Bedford, Charles Louis "Louie" (Linda) Osborne of Clarksville, TN, and Brenda (Bennie) Smith of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Lee (Sandy) Martin, Barry (Kim) Martin, Tommy Walls, Kevin Walls, Matthew (fiancé, Michelle Spray) Walls, Tyler (Maggie) Mosier, Stacy Hoover, Shelley (Robb) Fladry; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and her favorite niece, Carol (Darryl) Bennett of Columbus. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; two sons-in-law, Ken Smith and Tom Walls; and sister-in-law, Ruth Turner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bedford with Fr. Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00am ? 12:00noon at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford where the Rosary will be prayed at 11:30am.
