Mrs. Hazel ?Granny? Flournoy age 78 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018.
Granny was born in Gay, Georgia on January 1, 1940. She is preceded in death by parents, Walter Flournoy and Esther Banks Flournoy; sons, Mitchell Bass, Mark Bass; sisters, Elizabeth Apple, Jeanette Williams. Before retiring Granny worked at Zetella Express as a manager. Granny loved to garden and spend time with family. She attended Mount Zion Church. Granny loved spending time with her family and loved them deeply.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Robinson and husband, Mike, Denise Self and husband, Alton, Tim Bass and wife, Georgeann, Terry Bass and significant other, Donna, Marty Bass, Tracy Bass and wife,Terri, Todd Godby and wife, Sandy, Eric Archer and wife, Tangie; daughter-in-law Alyson Bass; grandchildren, Shannon, Heather, Holly, Melissa, Amy, Brent, Andrew, Steven, Levi, Katie, Jared, Jason, Chris, Mitchell, Brandon, Jessica, Hope, Michael, Dustin, Jacob, Nikki, Hope, Breanna, Amber, and Caleb; 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Granny will be Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Following the visitation, a celebration of life will be in the church. Reverend Wade Corley will officiate.
