Mary Mitchell Bass

Mrs. Mary M. Bass, age 71, of Roxboro, departed this life Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. She was born in Person County and a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Rougemont.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Bass; and her parents, James and Mary Paylor Mitchell.
She is survived by a daughter, Kismet C. Bass-Butler (Willie) of Durham, NC; three grandchildren: Jada Wilkerson, Javia Bass and Jakari Bass, all of Durham; one brother, James Mitchell (Canary) of Oxford, NC; and a host of other additional relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00pm at Siloam Baptist Church, 4688 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC 27572 with the Rev. Willie Wayne Johnson, Pastor, officiating and providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Bass Family Cemetery, Rougemont, NC.
Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, and Monday at the church from 1:00pm to 2:00pm when her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Attendance at the service is limited to fifty individuals and guests will be pre-determined by the family. Please check with the family before the day of the service to confirm that your name is on the guest list. Face masks and social distancing are required.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 311 Allgood Street, Roxboro, NC.
