Survivors: wife, Denise; son, Derek (Niegen) Bassett of Calif.; granddaughter, Alexis; brother, Bill (Niki) Bassett of Wichita; sister-in-law, Ruth Bassett of Wichita; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
