Charlotte Katherine Bass

Charlotte Katherine Rothermund Bass of Wheeling, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Rothermund. Charlotte retired from Wheeling Hospital as a nurse?s aide. She was a member of Ruble United Methodist Church, loved her family, especially her grandchildren, loved to needle point, take trips to Sugar Creek, and travel with her family. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, John ?Jack? Arthur Bass, in June 2021; a brother, Richard Rothermund; and a son-in-law, David Oliver. Surviving are her three children, Lisa Oliver (Chuck Parker) of Triadelphia, Mark (Colleen) Bass of Wheeling, and Susan (Michael) Thomas of Wheeling; one brother, Thomas Rothermund of West Liberty; eight grandchildren, Justin and Troy Oliver, Hannah, Tanner, and Garrett Bass, Skylar, Trent and Erin Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232-2732), where services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11 am, with Pat Ramsey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Ruble United Methodist Church, 37 Ruby Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.
