Bass died Friday in a Brownwood, Brown County, rest home after a long illness. A native of Kaufman, he had lived in Dallas for 25 years before he became ill. Survivors are his wife; a son, Cecil Gerald Bass of Waco; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Mari Alric of Downey, Calif.; six brothers, Otis Bass and Monroe Bass, both of Los Angeles, Orville Bass, Dolphin Bass and Howard Bass, all of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Heath, Mrs. Alma Forsythe and Mrs. Hazel Tittsworth, all of Dallas, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
