      Mrs. Laura Noonan, Past Spanish War Unit Leader, Dies

      Mrs. Laura E. Noonan of 136 Main St., Cohoes, died today in Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness.
      The former Laura Bessette, Mrs. Noonan was widow of George A. Noonan. She was a native of Farnam, P.Q., Canada, and had resided in Cohoes 65 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, that city.
      Mrs. Noonan was a psat president of the Marcus D. Russell Auxiliary, USWV and past national president of the Military Order of Lizards.
      Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Emma Turpin of Cohoes, and several nieces and nephews.
      The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Ernest L. Dufresne Funeral Home, 282 Remsen St., Cohoes, and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
