Margaret A. Flanders
Virginia Beach - Margaret A. Flanders, 66, passed peacefully November 8, 2007, in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Flanders was born August 28, 1941, to the late Roland and Dessie Bass in Princess Anne County, Virginia. She worked for many years with Hope Haven's Children's Home in Virginia Beach and the Union Mission in Norfolk. She was a title administrator for and retired from A&G Auto Sales. She was a resident of Luther Manor where she was active in many groups. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister and friend who was always willing to help someone in need. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Michael Nealey of Chesapeake and Robert Nealey and wife Beth of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Shirley Farrow and husband Donnie of Buxton, North Carolina, Alma Holland and husband Dennis of Norfolk and Marion Shepherd of Columbus, Ohio; and one brother, Jimmy Bass and wife Brenda of Courtland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Flanders and both parents. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
