Eloise Bass Williams
Eloise Bass Williams, 85, of Charlotte, NC passed away on July 16, 2021.
Eloise was born in Peachland, NC on March 20, 1936 to the late Samuel Wilson Bass and Gertrude High Bass .
Along with her parents, Eloise is preceded in death by husband Benjamin Franklin Williams.
She is survived by her daughter, Colette Williams (Gil) Graham of Charlotte, NC; sons Walter Williams of Charlotte, NC and Jeff (Kathy) Williams of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Graham of Charlotte, NC, Catherine (Tyler) Green of Denver, NC, Will (Amber) Doggett of Round Rock, TX, Eva Williams (Jonathan) Scher of Paris, France, Steve (Andrea) Williams of Mint Hill, NC, Tommy (Jenny) Williams of Fort Mill, SC; great grandchildren Ayla Doggett, Lily Doggett, Liam Doggett, Miss London Green, Zoe Scher, Amelia Williams, and Harrison Williams.
Eloise loved the LORD. She loved worshipping so much that she wanted to be on the front row so she could "feel" the music. Her love of music did not stop there. She ?also enjoyed playing piano. Eloise loved her family especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She ?often did crochet and solved elaborate puzzles. Her family would get her stacks of books each week to read. She was an avid reader and before they knew it she had read through them all. Her reading included reading her Sunday School lesson every Saturday night! When she was not reading or crocheting you may find her watching westerns on television. She liked the simple things in life and she loved her family. Eloise was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A Memorial Service will be held at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 10 AM. Those attending the Memorial Service are requested to wear bright colors to celebrate Eloise. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly, NC.
