Mozelle Bass Batchelor
Nashville, NC
Mozelle Bass Batchelor, age 83, passed away Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018.
Her life will be remembered in a memorial service at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, July 19 at Mt. Zion OFWB Church, 1779 Mt. Zion Church Rd., Nashville. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Center prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 a.m., and other times at the home of Joel and Carol Batchelor.
Mozelle lived her life in Nash County. She graduated from Spring Hope High School and East Carolina University. She was a retired teacher from the Nash-Rocky Mount School Systems.
She is survived by her son, Joel W. Batchelor and wife, Carol, of Rocky Mount; grandson, Curtis Scooter Batchelor and his fiancee, Amber Keeter of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Ronald Bass and wife, Martha of Nashville; sister, Nan B. Bissette and husband, Jerry of Bailey; sisters-in-law, Rosalene and Paula Bass of Spring Hope; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and her devoted caregivers, Lisa Richardson and Daphine Hanna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis O. Batchelor; parents, Goodman and Alvarhada Bass; and two brothers, Earl and Standley Bass.
