Mrs. Mary Bassett
Mrs. Mary Wooldridge Bassett, 74, Utica resident ofr 45 years, died yesterday in the home of her daughters, Mrs. Frank Mildred Penfield, 1574 St. Vincent St.
She was born in Holland and came to America at the age of 11. She lived in New Jersey until she moved to Utica in 1918. She was married to Levy Wooldridge in 1906. He died I n1940. She was married to Chester Bassett in 1945. He died in 1961. She was a launderss for many years at the former McPherson Laundry, Utica.
Besides Mrs. Penfield she leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kent, Utica, and Mrs. Earl (Marietta) Brewster, Sherrill, and two sons, Frank Wooldridge, Washington Mills and Edward Wooldridge, New York City.
The funeral will be at 10:30 Friday from Ortner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond W. Pascoe, pastor of Centenary Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
