  Notes	Playground Daily News, Tuesday, May 10, 1977 Lafayette B. Bass Mr. Lafayette B. Bass, age 73, of 522 Lang Road, Fort Walton Beach, died at 9 p.m. Sunday at his home. Born in Geneva County, Ala., he had resided in Fort Walton Beach since 1954 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday from the First Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, with Dr. James Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery with McLaughlin Mortuary directing. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois Bass of Fort Walton Beach; three sons, Lee R. Bass of Fort Walton Beach, and James H. Bass and Jerry Bass, both of Fort Lauderdale; one daughter, Mrs. Frances E. Pettis of Tallahassee; three brothers, Bigey Bass of Bonifay, and Oyd Bass and Burley Bass of Slocumb, Ala., and six grandchildren.
