Genrette Bass
FAIRMONT -- Genrette Bass, 74, of Route 1, Box 250, died Thursday in North Carolina Cancer Institute in Lumberton.
He was a farmer.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Prevatte Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Lewis. Burial will be in the Bass family cemetery.
Mr. Bass is survived by two daughters, Judy Parker of Rocky Mount and Bonnie McBurney of Edgewood, Md.; five sons, Genrette E. Bass and William C. Bass, both of Fairmont, Jerry W. Bass and Ronnie Strong, both of Spring Lake, and Billy Bass of California; two sisters, Mable Johnson of Laurinburg and Dosie Stevenson of Wilmington; a brother, Eddie C. Bass of Fairmont; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Prevatte Funeral Home, and other times at the home of William C. Bass, Mill Branch Road, Fairmont.
