Mrs. Myrtle Bass Caulder, 66, widow of Lancaster Caulder, died Thursday in a Marion hospital. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Bass Cemetery near Fairmont, N.C. Mrs. Caulder was born in Robinson County, N.C., a daughter of the late Elija Bass and Mrs. Mary Hill Bass. Surviving are: a son, Elija Temple Caulder of Marion; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Barrentine and Mrs. Hilda Caulder, both of Marion, and Mrs. Troy Deas of Effingham; four brothers, Eddie C. Bass and Fred Bass, both of Fairmont, Jenrette Bass of Fayetteville, N.C., and Hallon Bass of Mullins; two sisters, Mrs. Maybele Johnson of Fairmont and Mrs. Docia Stephens of Wilmington, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
