Matrimony Notice
Doc Bass, Ex-Mercer Baseball Star, Weds
William C. (Doc) Bass, well known Macon ball player, yesterday became a benedict. Announcement of marriage to Miss Dorothy Neibling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Neibling, of Augusta, came ticking over the wires yesterday from the State’s fourth city.
The marriage ceremony was solemnized at the home of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Bass left immediately after the ceremony for Oklahoma, where Mr. Bass will play ball this season.
“Doc” is a grandson of the late Dr. Bass, of Mercer. Up until a week ago he played on the Augusta baseball team in the South Atlantic League.
Mrs. Bass is one of Augustas’ most beautiful girls.
