Jessie Edward Bass
ODESSA Jessie Edward Bass II, 41, of Odessa, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born December 5, 1966 in Odessa, Texas. He was the only beloved son of Jessie Edward Bass, Sr. and Anita Benson Jones.
Jessie went to Highway Temple Assembly of God Church all of his formative years.
He was proud to have served in the United States Navy. He received a Medical Discharge October 20, 1987. He was a disabled veteran.
He leaves behind to cherish him memory, his mom Anita L. Jones; his father Jessie Edward Bass, Sr. and Stepmother Bonnie Bass, all of Odessa; three sisters, Toni Bass Putty and husband Kenneth Putty, Jeanie Stucks and husband Chris Stucks, all of Odessa and Julie Hatfield of Cleburne, Texas; step-brothers Sammy and Randy Baumguardner; step-sister Debra Richardson. Jessie left four sons behind, Justin Bass, Joshua Bass, Jessie Bass, III and Jacona Bass; a daughter, Desiree Nicole Bass and his wife of 16 years, Tanya Bass. He also leaves behind four nieces, and five nephews. He was very loved, especially by his sisters, all of whom worshiped him!
The apple of his eye was his only grandchild, Gracie Bass.
Jessie was a "Man's Man" and has friends all over Odessa. His biggest joy was riding horses, but most of all he enjoyed getting on his Harley and riding. Then there are his childhood friends that are still around today. Five of those men he called his brothers, and those men will be his pallbearers. Those men are, David Sly, Roger McDonald, Rudy Acosta, Gilbert Acosta, Ronnie Lewis and Phillip Murray.
