Clyde Eugene Bass
Mr. Clyde Eugene Bass, 82, of Greensboro, died April 6, 2003, at Beacon Place of Hospice.
The funeral for Mr. Bass will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Bass was a member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church where he was a member of the Andrew class. He was retired from P. Lorillard after more than 25 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was a member of both the American Legion and the VFW. Mr. Bass was also an avid golfer and was a former member of Forest Oaks Country Club.
Surviving Mr. Bass are his sisters, Dorothy Layton and Jean Hall, both of Greensboro; his brother, Marlen "Mot" Lee Bass Jr. also of Greensboro; three nieces; two nephews; four great-nieces; three great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and four great-great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service, and other times at the residence of his sister, Jean Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
