Inez Marie Bass

Inez Marie Bass of McCook passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Community Hospital. She was 90 years old.
Inez was born March 9, 1928, in Atwood, CO to parents, Alfredo and Mary Caterina (Strobetta) Tadolini. She graduated from Padroni High School, Padroni, CO in 1946. She was working as a waitress at the Blue Bird Café in Sterling, CO when she met Edward Lee Bass. They were united in marriage on October 13, 1960. They lived in Sterling until 1962 when they moved to Culbertson. In 1965, the family moved to McCook.
Inez was a busy and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Besides keeping up with her family she still found time to work outside the home. She trained at the Ogallala TRW as a supervisor and continued that position at and retired from the McCook TRW at the time of its closing. During that time she also waitressed at the McCook Elks Lodge. After her retirement, she worked at Just Class clothing store and Johnson?s Jewelry Store.
When Inez wasn?t attending her children or grandchildren?s activities she loved to walk, garden, and collect Swarovski Crystal.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfredo and Mary Tadolini; sisters, Catherine Stroup, Norma Asnicar, and Helen Timm; and brothers, John and Frank Tadolini.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ed Bass of McCook; son, Randy (Joan) Bass of Culbertson and their three daughters, Katherine ?Katie? Bass (Dave Malnar) and their children, Parker and Reece of Lincoln, Courtney (Emery) Quint and their children, Autumn, Alexis, and Austin, and Margaret ?Maggie? (Scott) Repass all of McCook; son, Larry ?Red? Bass of McCook and his son, Jordan (Robin) Bass and their children, Julian and Charlotte of Lawrence, KS; two brothers, Silvan Tadolini of Sterling, CO and Archie Tadolini of Fort Morgan, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friends may go online at www.herrmannfh.com to extend words of condolence to the family.
Rosary will be recited Friday, October 19, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, McCook. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Lothar Gilde and Father Gary Brethour as Celebrants. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
