In 1951 they created the Homestead resort in Midway, Utah, where Martha may be remembered as manager and gracious hostess. She and Ferrin spent thirty years in Midway until they retired to Provo in 1981. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served at one tme or another in all its auxiliaries.
