  Notes	The Peoria Star, Illinois, Monday, October 16, 2000 James Bass Jr. PEORIA - James L. Bass Jr., 84, of 1726 W. Clarewood Ave. died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at his residence. Born Nov. 1, 1915, in Bingham to James and Bertha Hill Bass, he married Geraldine Womack on Dec. 25, 1937, in Bayle City. She died Dec. 23, 1996, in Peoria. He also was preceded in death by three sisters. Surviving are one son, the Rev. Gary (and Dianne) of Rochester; three daughters, Gay (and Jack) Nieukirk of Chillicothe, Connie Barton of Washington and Patricia (and David) Finn of Metamora; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He worked as a machine shop supervisor at Caterpillar Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1977. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Gary Bass will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the chapel. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
