Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, with visitation after 5 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery. Mrs. Bass was born in Fayette County, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Hill. She married James Bass in 1911. He died in 1964. Surviving are son, James. Jr. of Varna; daughters, Mrs. LaVois Zappala of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Bernice Forett of Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Mrs. Ida McCaslin of Decatur; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. One daughter; four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
