Floyd Ira Bass, Jr. 71, of Lumberton, died Friday, November 13, 2020. He was born on February 21, 1949, in Starks, Louisiana, to Vera Mae Ashworth and Floyd Ira Bass, Sr. Floyd was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired industrial painter.
Survivors include his wife, Francene Bass, of Lumberton; children, Scott Bass and his wife, Hope, of Orange; Virgil Langham, Jr. and his wife, Virginia and Cindy Conway and her husband, Kim, all of Lumberton; Priscilla Williams, of Vidor; and Rocky Armstrong and his wife, Stacy, of Vidor; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Pamela Williams, of Starks, Louisiana; and brother, Jerry Bass and his wife, Jane, of Deweyville.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laurie Langham; and grandchildren, Dustin Bates and Nicholas Armstrong.
A gathering of Mr. Bass? family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Broussard?s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow with Military Honors by Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group at Daniels Cemetery, Kountze.
